About Me
Aamir Akram, MD, is a board-certified internal medicine physician working in hospital medicine.
He earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Medicine and Health Sciences in Bassetterre, St. Kitts and Nevis. Dr. Akram served his internal medicine residency and was the chief resident of internal medicine at Wright State University.
In his spare time, Dr. Akram enjoys being outdoors, and one day hopes to visit all 63 U.S. National Parks. He also knows six different languages, after living in four different countries and seven different states. Dr. Akram became a doctor to take care of people in their most vulnerable and helpless state. He also finds learning medicine very mentally stimulating and taking care of patients is extremely rewarding.

What is a Hospitalist?
A hospitalist works with your primary care physician to provide you with the highest level of care while you are in the hospital. During your stay, you may meet one or more of our Kettering Health Medical Group Hospital Medicine team as they provide you with exceptional, around-the-clock specialized care.
