Dear Dr. Nelson:
Since I’m now 77 and have moved around a lot, I’ve had experiences with many doctors, both general practitioners and specialists. You are by far the best and the one who has most helped me handle my health issues when they occur. Some have been related to aging others not.
Most important to me is that we work as a team. I come to you with a new problem, which I have researched, and we talk together how to best proceed. You accept that there are things I am willing to incorporate into my life and others that I won’t for one reason for another. Sometimes you offer alternative suggestions and other times you encourage me to at least try something and I do. You were always right; it was exactly what I needed to do!
You are warm and open. You respect me and know that I am the ultimate decision maker in our partnership. I’ve had aloof doctors and I’ve had at least two who treated me like men treated women in the 50’s. They didn’t last long.
I’m also very glad that you are considerably younger than me. One, you trained more recently and two, I sincerely hope that you outlive me by a long time.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Pat Diven

Chevrette
I was hospitalized in the "M-ICU" from February 24-27 for Pneumonia with Sepsis. Dr. Chevrette, you were the doctor I had the most interaction with during this very scary time for my husband and me. You were so kind and patient in explaining where things stood each day, taking the time to answer all of our questions. Your bedside manner made a real impression on me. You would come in for your check on me by sitting down on the couch, looking into my face, and treating me like a person, not just a patient. I have never been that sick before, and you were a true calming presence for my family and me. Thank you so much for the care you gave during my stay. I truly appreciate it more than a note can express.
Avera
Dr. Avera has been my doctor for years and she is the best! Thank you for taking the time to listen!

Booth
From my very first appointment with Dr. Booth she took the time to really listen to my symptoms and gave me extremely detailed information about what the next steps would look like. After searching for answers for 7 years of pain, Dr. Booth believed my pain and advocated for me. She was able to bring so much closure to what’s been a very difficult health journey for me and finally provide me with a diagnosis that had been brushed off by other doctors. I will never forget waking up from surgery and hearing that she found an explanation for my pain. It was something that I truly thought I would never get. I am so incredibly grateful to Dr. Booth for being an empathetic and supportive advocate and doctor to me. She is the reason that I want to pursue a career in the OB-GYN field one day!

Henry CNP
I would like to recognize and send my deep appreciation to Paula Henry. I’m deeply grateful to have her as my health care provider! Whether I am there for my anual exam or for a another medical concern ,she is someone who always Takes The Time(!) to truly listen and hear what I’m saying in order to work together on a plan-- whether that is for optimizing health for present and future at an anual visit, or for resolving a current issue of concern.
She has helped me navigate menapause and insomnia combining up-to-date medical knowledge with practical behavioral approaches and any necessary testing , interventions or therapies. I appreciate that she takes a natualistic wholistic whole body/system approach looking at root causes to restore or maintain health.
I feel this outstanding level of care has made a big difference in my health and my mental well-being, and can say I have never felt this level of care and investment in another provider in all my years.
Her care is consistently thorough, compassionate, and attentive. She provides me with a genuine sense of peace of mind throught the year, knowing she is there when I need her. I deeply appreciate her dedication and the trust she inspires in her patients. Even when I am not physicallythere in the office for care you are benefitting me every day of the year Thank you, Paula ! I honor and recognize the level of dedication you give both to your patients, and to your own ongoing personal study of the medical sciences and wholistic health that benefits us all. Dianne M
