Daniel Tryon, president of Southview Medical Center, will become the new president of Soin Medical Center and Greene Memorial Hospital. He replaces Richard Haas, who has served in an interim capacity over the last few months while continuing to lead the organization’s market development strategies.
Daniel joined Kettering Health in 2011 as a Business Development assistant before transitioning into the administrative fellowship program. Since then, he has held numerous leadership roles throughout the organization, including serving as the director of Business Development at Grandview Medical Center and as the executive director and campus administrator for Kettering Health Middletown. In early 2020, he assumed his current role at Southview. During his tenure, he helped navigate the campus through the COVID-19 pandemic, led the development of a master plan, and helped enhance patient experience by moving several HCAHPS metrics to top quartile performance. In 2019, he was named to the Dayton Business Journal’s Forty Under 40 list which recognizes the top upcoming leaders in our region.
In addition to this work, Daniel has been highly engaged and committed to the surrounding community, serving on multiple boards, including the Greater Dayton Hospital Association and Brigid’s Path.
“Daniel has made a great impact during this time with our organization,” said Fred Manchur, CEO of Kettering health. “It’s because of strong leaders like him that we’re able to continue our mission to improve the lives of those in our Greene County community.”
