Kettering Health and the Cincinnati Bengals are once again partnering to promote the NFL’s Crucial Catch cancer prevention campaign. This year, Bengals Head Coach Zac Taylor is serving as spokesperson, demonstrating his passion for helping the community by sharing important messages about cancer screening and risk reduction.
“Cancer screening saves lives,” said Coach Taylor. “I’m proud to team up with Kettering Health to raise awareness about the importance of cancer prevention and early detection.”
As Kettering Health’s Crucial Catch spokesperson, Coach Taylor will appear in print, digital, and broadcast messages encouraging early cancer detection through screening and understanding risk factors. Crucial Catch focuses on six common, screenable cancers: breast, cervical, colon, lung, prostate, and skin. The initiative encourages people to be proactive about working with their healthcare provider to determine what screenings are recommended and other steps individuals can take to reduce their risk of cancer.
“A cancer diagnosis can be life-altering, but early detection can make a big difference,” said Dr. E. Ronald Hale, Kettering Health’s medical director for Radiation Oncology. “It’s really crucial that people talk to their doctor or healthcare provider about using the amazing tools we have that can detect cancer early and give you the best chance for cure. I’m grateful Head Coach Taylor is joining us to amplify the Crucial Catch message that early cancer detection through screening will absolutely save lives.”
Kettering Health is committed to providing people the resources they need to better understand the importance of early detection and ways to reduce their cancer risk. Kettering Health’s Crucial Catch initiative with Head Coach Taylor will run from September 2023 through May 2024.
