Want to learn more about this at Kettering Health?
A virtual office visit with an advanced practice provider can help you determine if you need a COVID-19 test.
After answering online screening questions on our website, we’ll direct you to the care best suited for your symptoms.
COVID-19 testing for mild symptoms
If you have mild symptoms, we will recommend attending a MyChart telehealth visit with a Kettering Physician Network provider. Mild symptoms include
- Mild fever less than 100.4° or feeling feverish (chills, sweating)
- Feel winded with exercise but not with normal activity (not severe, can rest and recover)
- Tired
- Nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea but still urinating and can keep most fluids and medicines down
Schedule your visit
You will have the option to schedule a telehealth appointment after completing the screening questions. During the telehealth appointment, your provider will assess your symptoms and determine if a COVID-19 test is appropriate.
Scheduling for these limited appointments opens the day before. You do not have to be a Kettering Health patient, but you will need a MyChart account and insurance (if available).
Moderate to severe symptoms
Those with moderate symptoms should visit an On-Demand or Urgent Care location. If you have severe symptoms, visit your nearest emergency center right away.
