More than 450 attendees gathered at Sinclair Conference Center for the Kettering Health Foundation’s 24th annual Ribbon of Hope Luncheon, helping raise more than $185,000 to support women facing cancer across the Dayton region.
Proceeds from the event benefit the Women’s Wellness Fund, which provides breast imaging services and women’s cancer care at no cost to uninsured and underserved women in the Dayton area. The fund also helps cover essential needs such as transportation, prescriptions, prosthetics, wigs and compression garments.
Olympic gold medalist and breast cancer survivor Kikkan Randall served as keynote speaker, sharing a message of resilience and the importance of a strong support system when navigating life’s challenges.
Attendees also had the opportunity to visit vendors and boutiques throughout the event. Participating organizations included Kettering Community Outreach, Kettering Women’s Health, the Oncology Service Line, Noble Circle, WDTN, Cox Media, Oakwood Florist and several other local businesses and community partners.
The luncheon also highlighted the generosity of community supporters. Fort Washington Advisors and CBD Advisors donated their sponsored tables back to the event. The Foundation filled one table with participants from the Courageous Beauty program and the other with families from St. Peter School, whose student-led soccer fundraiser raised $2,650 for the Women’s Wellness Fund.
A community donor also provided flowers and Killer Brownies for attendees. Each guest received a boxed Killer Brownie to take home following the event.
