Registration Open for Annual 2026 Hand Day Event

All procedures will take place in October at the Kettering Health Hand Center of Excellence.

Applications are open for 2026 Hand Day Dayton, an annual event that offers free hand surgery to uninsured Dayton-area residents.

Eligible candidates are those who do not have medical insurance and are experiencing any of the following symptoms:

  • Numbness or tingling in the hands or fingers
  • Fingers that get “stuck” or are difficult to move
  • Painful lumps or bumps in the hand or wrist

Candidates will be scheduled for a free one-on-one consultation Sunday, Sept. 27 to determine if surgery is right for them. Those interested should call (937) 558-0184 or fill out the online application form at ketteringhealth.org/handday before Sept. 27.

Surgeries will be scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 4. Follow-up care will also be provided at no cost. All procedures will take place at Kettering Health Hand Center of Excellence, located on the campus of Kettering Health Washington Township.
