Congratulations to Missy Henderson, who was named Kettering’s February Employee of the Month. Missy works in Same Day Medical at the hospital.

The Employee of the Month Award recognizes the people you love to work with. These winners show exceptional performance as defined by the network’s Standards of Behavior, live out the network’s values, and demonstrate the healing presence practices outlined in Called to Care. Missy was nominated by a fellow employee, and her nomination is as follows:

“Missy is hardworking, a team player, and always does her job with a smile. She is kind to all patients and develops a rapport with the patients who frequently come to our department; she takes the time to get to know the patient and the families as well. She will even call patients to check on them at home if we have not seen them in our outpatient setting for a while to make sure they haven’t become more ill or need some type of assistance. Missy will think ahead and know what the nurses need before we ever need to ask for her help. She never complains about anything she is asked to do even on the busiest and most chaotic of days. Missy recently overheard that a patient and his wife were going to eat TV dinners for Thanksgiving, and she ended up taking the two of them a full turkey dinner to their house on Thanksgiving Day, including two Pepsis, which the patient always asked for.”
