Did you know that one of the unique benefits of working at Kettering Health is access to the KH Credit Union (KHCU)?
KHCU was created specifically for Kettering Health employees, and it’s been part of the story for more than five decades.
The credit union’s roots go back to 1964, when Kettering Memorial Hospital welcomed its first patients. A small group of employees came together to form a credit union. The goal was simple: provide affordable, accessible financial services to their colleagues. More than 60 years later, KHCU is proud to continue that mission, offering quality financial products and services delivered in a courteous, timely, and truly accessible way to the Kettering Health team.
As part of our commitment to caring for your financial health, KHCU is excited to introduce a new Financial Spotlight column in KNews. This ongoing feature will highlight important financial wellness topics that impact our members and our broader Kettering Health community in everyday life.
Each article will offer practical information, helpful tips, and real‑world guidance on subjects such as budgeting, saving, credit management, fraud prevention, debt reduction, homeownership, retirement planning, and other key financial topics. Our goal is to help you make informed financial decisions, improve your financial well‑being, and feel more confident managing your personal finances.
Even if you’re not a KHCU member, we hope you’ll take advantage of this helpful financial information
What makes KHCU special?
KHCU is a nonprofit financial institution, owned and operated by its members. Unlike commercial banks, it’s focused on serving members. Caring for your financial health is the top priority.
But just because we serve a small community doesn’t mean the services aren’t comparable to big banks. KHCU members have access to a comprehensive suite of financial services, all tailored to best serve each member’s specific needs, including:
- Savings accounts
- Checking services
- Auto and signature loans
- Home mortgages
Plus, as Kettering Health’s dedicated credit union, many of our ATMs and ITMs are located in the very buildings where you work.
Exclusive to team members
