Beginning Jan. 1, 2027, Kettering Health will no longer be in-network for Medicare Advantage (MA) plans offered by Anthem. This also includes Anthem MyCare.
The decision followed extensive negotiations with Anthem that sought to establish terms allowing Kettering Health to continue providing the highest quality care to its patients and their members.
Unfortunately, Anthem declined to offer terms that addressed the problems created by their denials, payment reductions and growing shortfalls. Compounding these challenges, reimbursement from Anthem MA plans has consistently remained well below that of traditional Medicare and has not kept pace with inflation.
To help patients navigate these changes, Kettering Health has partnered with RetireMed, a local Medicare advisory service, to offer free assistance to patients who may need to switch to traditional Medicare or a participating MA plan. Affected patients and team members can contact RetireMed at (937) 965-0882 (available 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday) or visit their website for help finding an in-network plan.
Kettering Health will continue accepting traditional Medicare and several other MA plans.
