Kettering College’s MSN-Nursing Leadership program has officially received initial accreditation from the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).
The accreditation was effective July 11, 2024, the date the program was accepted as a candidate for accreditation. This means all graduates of the MSN program have graduated from an ACEN-accredited program.
This milestone represents years of work by faculty, staff, students and college leadership to build and strengthen the MSN program.
Designed specifically for working nurses, the MSN program allows students to continue working while completing their graduate degree.
Courses are delivered online in an asynchronous format, so there are no required weekly live class sessions. Students can complete coursework around their professional and personal responsibilities while still meeting course deadlines. In fact, most students in the program continue working full-time while earning their degree.
The two-year, 39-credit program is built around a cohort model, allowing nurses to learn alongside a consistent group of peers while developing skills they can immediately apply in their own workplaces. The curriculum focuses on leadership, communication, evidence-based practice, quality improvement, and the broader systems that shape healthcare education.
Kettering College is grateful for God’s guidance and blessings throughout the journey and proud of the faculty, students and graduates who have helped make this accomplishment possible.
