For the seventh consecutive time, Kettering Health Hamilton has earned an “A” grade from the Leapfrog Group Hospital Safety Grade, resulting in a “Straight A” grade. This award is a national distinction recognizing the hospital’s dedication to providing safe healthcare. Hospitals earn a “Straight A” after maintaining an “A” grade five consecutive times.
“At Kettering Health Hamilton, we bring our best to every sacred encounter—serving our community with safe, high-quality care,” said Paul Hoover, the medical center‘s president. “Earning seven consecutive ‘A’ ratings is an honorable achievement and demonstrates our team’s dedication to our patients and community.”
The Leapfrog Group is an independent national watchdog organization committed to healthcare quality and safety. The organization assigns grades to general hospitals across the country twice a year based on over thirty national performance measures. These measures reflect errors, accidents, injuries and infections, and harm prevention.
