For the ninth consecutive time, Kettering Health Hamilton has earned an “A” hospital safety grade from the Leapfrog Group, a national nonprofit upholding the standard of patient safety in hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers.
The new grades reflect performance primarily during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic and solidify Kettering Health Hamilton as Butler County’s leader in safe, high-quality health care.
“This achievement reflects the character and hard work of our staff,” said Paul Hoover, president of Kettering Health Hamilton. “We received national recognition as a hospital dedicated to patient safety because our team consistently prioritizes safe, high-quality care. Thanks to them, the community can feel confident in the level of care given at Kettering Health Hamilton.”
The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade is the only hospital ratings program based exclusively on hospital prevention of medical errors and harm to patients. The grading system is peer-reviewed, fully transparent, and free to the public. Grades are updated twice annually, in the fall and spring.
