Kettering Health and the Dayton Dragons came together last weekend to recognize a significant anniversary for the healthcare system. The 100th anniversary of the Kettering Health Dayton campus was celebrated throughout the Dragons’ final regular season game of 2026.
The afternoon game against the West Michigan Whitecaps was labeled Healthcare Heroes Day, and two Kettering Health Dayton employees were honored as part of the festivities. Nancy Hargrove, who’s been a nurse with the system for 51 years, and Amy D. Barr, an inventory control assistant with 46 years at Kettering Health, were recognized and threw out first pitches for the game.
Additional Kettering Health Dayton and EMS representatives were celebrated throughout the game.
The event also featured special plaza activities and opportunities to celebrate the healthcare professionals who have cared for generations of patients and families in the region.
