Five Kettering Health hospitals earned a “Straight A” grade from the Leapfrog Group Hospital Safety Grade, a national distinction recognizing hospitals’ dedication to providing safe healthcare. “Straight A” is earned when a hospital maintains an “A” grade at least five consecutive times.
Kettering Health hospitals receiving a “Straight A” are:
- Fort Hamilton Hospital
- Greene Memorial Hospital
- Kettering Medical Center
- Soin Medical Center
- Sycamore Medical Center
“Patient care and safety are our top priorities at Kettering Health,” said Brenda Kuhn, chief clinical officer for Kettering Health. “We appreciate our staff’s ongoing commitment to high-quality care and safety for our patients.”
The Leapfrog Group is an independent national watchdog organization committed to healthcare quality and safety. The Leapfrog Safety Grade uses several measures of hospital safety data, including preventing medical errors, injuries, accidents, infections, and other harms to patients, from more than 2,900 acute-care hospitals in the United States twice a year.
