Dr. Mark has remained my personal physician for about 40 years. He has treated me for numerous illnesses including cancer, heart and diabetes as well as other conditions and illnesses. He takes extra time with me and truly cares for his patients. Where can you find another doctor that prays with you during each Appointment? I consider myself very fortunate to have him as my doctor and also consider him a close friend.

Little was helpful for a long time

I just want to thank Dr. Lavelle and Dr. Julie Broeker for the care that they have given me. I moved from Texas a year and a half ago and became their patient. Both have shown me a complete concern for my care of multiple myeloma and Dr. Lavelle has done an outstanding job to even change my treatment to one that has even improved my numbers for the better. They are both kind and caring doctors and that is why I am grateful for having them as my cancer care treatment doctors. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

It was February 14th, 2004. I was a 17 year old kid who was just been pinned against a wall by a full size pickup truck. My right leg took nearly the entire impact. I was in critical condition.
I was rushed to a local hospital and then CareFlighted to Dayton.
That’s when Dr. Welker walked into my life.
He showed up looking his best, because my accident had just interrupted his Valentine’s evening with his wife. He immediately went to my mother and told her that if he was going to save my leg, and possibly my life,she had to give him the ok to do whatever was necessary.
Over the next 30 days in the hospital, I went through 11 surgeries and a complete reconstruction of my lower leg.
Today, I’m walking.
I’m working.
I have a family.
And most importantly, I’m alive.
All thanks to God and Dr. Welker.
What meant the most was that he didn’t just help me physically, he helped me mentally and emotionally through the entire process. He gave words of encouragement, laid out clear plans, was honest about every situation, and always made sure my voice and opinion mattered in the decisions about my own recovery.
I owe Dr. Welker more than words can ever fully express. My family and I are incredibly grateful for the care, skill, and compassion he showed during the most difficult time of our lives.
I saw him again recently for the first time since my discharge 22 years ago. I don’t know how much he truly remembers about my case, but I remember all of it.

There are truly no words that feel big enough to express how grateful I am for the care you gave me while bringing both of my sons, Phoenix and Denver, into the world. Those moments are some of the most meaningful of my life, and knowing I was in your hands made all the difference.

Because of my history and the complications surrounding my pregnancies and deliveries, those experiences could have been filled with fear and uncertainty. Instead, you gave me something every mother hopes for — confidence, reassurance, and the feeling that both my babies and I were truly safe. Your calm presence, compassion, and dedication never went unnoticed.

You didn’t just deliver my sons. You protected us, supported us, and guided us through moments that could have been incredibly scary. Because of you, Phoenix and Denver both entered this world safely, and that is a gift I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Thank you for the care, the patience, and the heart you bring to your work every day. Doctors like you change lives in ways that families never forget. My family and I will always be deeply grateful for the role you played in our story.
