Dear Dr. Jain ~ It is a privilege and my pleasure to write you a note telling you that even though my cancer frustrates me on a daily basis, I am so grateful to you for your honesty, straightforwardness, and consistent treatment plan to help me cope with the horror of this disease. I don't like the answers you give me when I ask if there are any new breakthroughs in Science to perform surgery and remove this pain-causing tumor on my left iliac hip bone, but you tell me the truth, even though I cry with the truth, and you maintain your professionalism and knowledge base to explain why you can't remove the tumor. My sister-in-law, Laura Strite, reminds me everytime I speak out-loud that I want the tumor out of me, with, "If Dr. Jain or any other oncology doctor takes this tumor out of you, it will permanently cripple you to a wheelchair. Is that really what you want?" Then I cry. You truly are an outstanding oncologist, and I am honored to be your patient. Have a blessed year ahead. Dear Dr. Pucheril ~ It is my pleasure and a privilege to thank you for your ongoing care to enable my left kidney to function after the radiation treatment damaged my bladder, and I now must have a stent to support my urinary needs. Thank you for your straightforward answers to my complaints and frustration with having to have this out-patient surgical procedure done every 3 to 9 months. You truly do make a huge difference in helping me find a resolution to my pain caused by the tumor on my left iliac hip bone. I am so grateful that you are willing to work with Dr. Jason Bryant, Anesthesiologist, for each surgery I must endure. You both make my surgery experience as comfortable and pain-free as possible. Dear Dr. Bryant ~ You are an answer to my prayers when I have to have stent exchange surgery with Dr. Daniel Pucheril every 3 to 9 months!!! Thank you for being available to be in the surgery room with me, for making the anesthetics as painless as possible with no side effects, and helping me to laugh when I am so nervous with anxiety about "needles" (phobia)!!! Every previous experience I've had that made me feel like I had a bad experience disappears when I know you are MY anesthesiologist for each surgery procedure! I want to work with you forever - or until I'm dead - whichever happens first. When I die, you are invited to my Celebration of Life party at Springrove Cemetery in Cincinnati.
