Dr. Mark, for 25 years, I was blessed to call you my family doctor. You always listened, were proactive, and cared about me as an individual. You treated, and still treat, my grandmother, my parents and my siblings with equal care and will forever be the doctor we trust and love.

I remember a sign in your lobby that expressed that you might run a bit behind schedule but that you would make sure we all received the same amount of time and focus that were the cause of any delays. No truer words were ever said! I can still see you entering the exam room, leaning back and asking, “How have you been?,” with one of the most contagious smiles I have ever seen. You cared and I mattered. No words could ever express how that made me feel as a confused teen, as a scared college student and as road weary adult.

Even though I have been forced to leave your practice due to moving far away, you have left a mark on my life. I have struggled to find a new doctor that lives up to the bar you have set. Praise the Lord, I finally have! I made sure to settle for nothing less than a younger version of you!

Please know of the impact you have made in my life and of the continuing impact you make in the lives of my family. I cannot think of anyone more deserving of recognition on this doctor’s appreciation day!

Thank you for being an amazing, proactive and personable doctor who has always shown exceptional care and attention. While not many would travel more than an hour to sustain a doctor for over 10 years, I never hesitate to think about changing for location convenience. Your infectious personality, thoroughness, and consistent pro-activeness has definitely exceeded my expectations, not to mention prevented potential health issues. Thank you for all you do and giving your all for patient health.

Dear Dr.Sugg,

I'll never forget you. On March.30.2021 I came into Grandview ER pregnant with what would have been baby #6 and I was having complications. When my test results came back my worse fear ever was confirmed. I still to this day can see you walking into my room. You held your head down and when you looked at me you had tears in your eyes and just kept saying "I'm so sorry" and when I told you "it's okay I'll be alright" you said "no it's not okay I am so sorry" and you hugged me so tightly. I was all by myself that night and felt so defeated, lost, hurt, confused, etc. You'll never know just how much that hug meant to me. In a moment of absolute heartbreak and turmoil you went above and beyond your duties of a doctor. I don't think I would have been as calm as I was had it not of been for you just being there for me. I've always wanted to thank you personally and I pray one day I will get that chance. You're a Rockstar and an angel Dr.Tennis Sugg, Kettering Health is a much better place with you in it.

Dr. Khouzam, I've said this before to you in person so it will come as no shock. I admire you because there are few Dr's that would go as far for me as you did. Let's not forget Dr Korpanty, Dr Clark (my big brother you will do this now guy, I love him so), and all the office staff. Almost 20 years I had no life with severe Afib attacks which took a lot to calm down. It was like I was delivered from the bowels of Hell, so know when I say I love you and you guys are awesome in an unexplainable way I speak truth. Keep it up guys as we can see HCM research etc. has come so far. I'll uphold the light of God you carry in all you do. Thank you thank you thank you.
