Cancer Care
Want to learn more about this at Kettering Health?
Kettering Health Cancer Care is helping patients navigate the effects of cancer treatment on their physical appearance.
A new program called “Courageous Beauty” offers monthly classes where participants will learn unique makeup tips, how to wear wigs and head coverings, and how to care for skin and nails during treatment. The program also acts as a support group where attendees can interact with others undergoing treatment.
“We are proud to offer this unique program to cancer patients,” said Ken Chaij, executive director of Oncology Services at Kettering Health. “Of all the things you lose during treatment, recognizing yourself should not be one of them.”
Courageous Beauty is free and includes a personal cosmetic care kit. Classes occur every third Monday of the month at Kettering Health Cancer Center, located at 3700 Southern Blvd. in Kettering.
Register online or by calling (937) 281-3855. You do not need to be a patient of Kettering Health to register.
