Each year, Kettering Health team members come together for the Adopt-a-Family program.
It’s a chance to share in the joy of the season by providing Christmas gifts for colleagues and their families, who may be navigating unexpected circumstances or financial pressures.
Each family provides a Christmas wish list for the children in their home, including things they need, things to read and things they want. Participating teams use these lists to shop for gifts and help make Christmas a little easier and brighter.
What we need from you
Please consider adopting a family this Christmas and sharing this opportunity with your teams. To participate, complete the Adopt a Family form by Thursday, Nov. 12. When signing up, please select up to three campus gift drop-off locations that would work for you or your group. Providing multiple locations helps coordinate gift drop-offs.
What happens next
During the week of Nov. 16, adopting individuals and departments will receive additional information about their assigned family, including family details to help guide gift shopping.

Signing up for Adopt-a-Family program support
If you and your family could use additional support this Christmas please complete the Christmas Adopt a Family application by Nov. 12.
Applying does not guarantee assistance. Applications will be reviewed based on the program’s prioritization guidelines and available support.
- You must be a Kettering Health employee for at least six months at time of application.
- Applications may include only family members who live in your household.
- Only one application may be submitted per household.
- The application must include a brief description of your current circumstances and why assistance is needed.
We want to help ensure that support reaches team members who need it most. Applications will be reviewed and prioritized in the following order:
- Team members applying for holiday assistance for the first time.
- Team members who have not received assistance in two or more years.
- Team members who received assistance last year or in multiple recent years.
