The Young Breast Cancer Survivor Series, a new program at Kettering Health, will offer tips and tools to support breast cancer survivors under 45 years old.
The series helps survivors cope with their diagnosis and common side effects. It also helps build confidence and empowers women to take charge of their health.
Topics appeal to women diagnosed with breast cancer before the age of 45 and include
- Hot and Bothered: Coping with Early Menopause
- Staying Alert: Managing the Long-term Side Effects of Breast Cancer Treatment
- Let’s Talk About Sex and Breast Cancer
- Self-care After Breast Cancer
“Facing a cancer diagnosis is difficult, and the impact often reaches beyond a person’s physical well-being,” said Ken Chaij, director of Oncology Services at Kettering Health. “Our team is dedicated to supporting our patients through treatment and beyond, and we are proud to offer this series that will help women build back their confidence.”
Sessions occur monthly, both virtually and onsite at the Pavilion located at Kettering Health Main Campus.
