Lyndsey
Roberts (and everyone on 3N!)
To all my amazing girls on 3N,
Thank you for taking such good care of me after my surgery on 1/24. I was there for 3 days after, and received the absolute best care I've ever experienced in a hospital. From the check in process and the pre-op to the wheelchair ride out, I was treated so wonderfully. Bc I was there for 3 days, I had many caregivers, including nurses and nursing assistants, charge nurses, and even phlebotomy. I tried to get everyone's name, but I know I missed a few, and I'm sorry. The names I did get include Ali, LaQuata, Georgia, Elizabeth, Holly (lab), Lyndsey, Tara, Courtney, and Bethany. I can't thank y'all enough, it was a great experience overall thanks to ALL of y'all on 3N! Thank you for what you all do everyday. You matter more than you know and deserve all the praise. xoxo Rachael Sizemore

Sheena
ER at Miamisburg
I came in last night with a severe tooth infection. Something has plagued me for years. Years ago I was in an abusive relationship that resulted in multiple broken teeth. When I sought dental care then to have them removed I was told I needed to have them surgically removed and to be put under for the procedure. I was abused by my childhood dentist which has caused me to have extreme anxiety with dentists. I was also put under for a sugery as a child and was aware of the entire surgery, yet couldn't speak or move. So the idea of being put under again terrifies me, especially to have 3 teeth surgically removed.
You are the FIRST PERSON in the medical field to show me true human compassion in my situation and to provide me hope to regain my dental health again soon. I seriously can't thank you enough! Please never stop being you! Tha k you for nkt judgming me, unlike Dr. King who kept rolling his eyes at me the whole time. He could learn a thing or two from you about bedside manners! 😉 😂
Seriously, thank you again for not letting this job that I know can be difficult, (I spent months in ICU with my mom after her stroke 24/7) burn you out! Some of us really need people like you!
Kat
N/a
Having Kat as my pre op nurse on 3/31/25 was nothing less than an amazing experience! I was really nervous about the procedure I was having done and she talked me through it and helped me “laugh” so I could calm my nerves. She was very professional and personable. Thank you, Kat for everything that day. It means a lot!

You brought out the courage and strength in me that you knew I had within. You have forever positively impacted our birth journey and my healing process. In times of recovery I think what would Vivian say or do and it helps me inch forward. Thank you so much for everything you did and did not have to do.

Subject: A Heartfelt Thank You
Dear Staff,
I don’t usually write letters like this, but after my recent stay at your hospital, I felt deeply moved to reach out and share my heartfelt thanks.
Two weeks ago, I was a patient in Room 520. My name is Rebecca Root—though you probably remember me best as Becki. From the moment I arrived, I was treated with warmth, kindness, and genuine care by every single person who entered my room. Whether it was housekeeping, food service, nurses, or aides—you all made me feel respected, valued, and truly seen. You treated me like a human being, not just a patient.
The fifth-floor staff went above and beyond in every way. You kept my room clean, delivered my meals with care, managed my treatment with compassion, and supported both me and my loved ones through every step.
There is one person I especially want to recognize—my night nurse for a couple of nights, Christy. Christy was a blessing. She not only took care of my physical needs, but anticipated them: rubbing my legs when they were itchy, sometimes multiple times a night; bringing me Jell-O when I couldn’t sleep; changing my bedding when needed; and checking on me constantly. She even made sure my guests felt welcomed and cared for.
What made Christy truly stand out was her ability to connect on a personal level. She made me laugh, lightened the mood, and brought genuine warmth into the room, even on my hardest nights. Her kindness and humor reminded me that healing isn’t just physical—it’s emotional too.
If I had my way, every single one of you would get a daisy—for your compassion, your care, and the difference you made in my life. A daisy for every smile, every thoughtful act, and every extra step you took without being asked. I wish I could give more than words, but please accept this thank-you from the bottom of my heart.
You are overworked, often under-recognized, and yet you continue to show up with compassion every day. What you do matters more than you know—and it certainly mattered to me.
I will always recommend Kettering Health Hamilton Hospital. Thank you for helping me through a very difficult time, and for being the kind of people the world needs more of.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Becki (Rebecca Root)

Tesia, you are amazing! You helped me so much in delivering our daughter. You stayed so positive and even had me laughing. From helping with different ways to push, to understanding when I needed a break. I always felt heard, and you always took the time to explain things to me. Even going the extra mile to speak to your coworkers about different ways to push so we could get further in delivering. Thank you so much, and I truly feel you’re an outstanding nurse!
