Natalie
Isaacs
Thank you, Natalie Isaacs, for your kindness and compassion for your patients. Natalie is my sister and knew she wanted to be a nurse from a young age. When I was in middle school, I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. During my junior year of high school my blood sugar dropped to a dangerously low level which resulted in me experiencing a seizure and later hypoglycemic coma. It was due to her quick response to call 911 that I survived and received the expedient care that I so desperately needed. She has dedicated her life to helping those who need it the most and I am so thankful for her and all of the nurses who selflessly dedicate their lives to serving others.

Thank you so much for taking excellent care of my mom, Erna Wise. Seeing how you took action to expedite the process of her getting what she needs as well as transferring her to the appropriate unit when her condition turned for the worse helped me ease some of my worries and allowed me to stay calm.
I believe that your pleasant attitude and reassuring demeanor greatly helped during a very stressful situation. One thing that I would never forget is when you came back to check on her after her transfer despite it being way past your shift. No words can describe how grateful we are to have met you even just for a short amount of time.

Thank you Pam for your dedication and attention to make sure my needs were addressed. That also includes your support and efforts to find out the incorrect information I received regarding a proposed surgery that was miscommunicated by the med staff.
My care by you and your coworkers met my expectations and in your case, exceeded those expectations. Thank you!

I came in with excruciating pain that was found to be appendicitis, and EVERYONE, from the triage nurse in ER to the surgical team to my nurses who took great care of me on med-surg the next day were all exceptional. Everyone was kind and compassionate but I’d especially like to extend a heartfelt thank you to my PACU nurse Cammy. She went above and beyond in getting my pain under control, and made me feel very safe in her care. Stayed by my side the entire time and was just the most sincere and caring nurse I’ve ever met!

THANK YOU to my sister and nurse, Peg Sams!! I truly owe her my life! While I was back home in Ohio for a short visit with my family last October, I was experiencing some shortness of breath. I have been active and a runner my entire life so shortness of breath was not normal for me. As I was preparing to leave town that afternoon to return to my home in Chicago, my sister, Peg insisted I get checked out before I left. I assured her I would do it when I got back to Chicago. I wasn’t overly concerned and like most busy people, I figured I would get around to it at some point when I had time. Well, Peg was not taking no for an answer. She refused to let me leave Ohio until I went to the emergency dept to be checked out. Reluctantly, I agreed to go but only if I could go to Grandview hospital where she is a nurse. I received the shock of my life when I was admitted to the hospital and a few days later diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Thankfully, I was able to undergo surgery followed by chemotherapy and just recently learned I am cancer free. Thanks to Peg’s instincts as a nurse, I am alive today!! Thank you Peg for being my amazing sister, my rock and my nurse!! Love you most!

Nurse Beth at the cancer center is amazing and took such good care of me during my treatments. Cancer is scary and having to go alone to treatments during the pandemic made it that much more difficult. She was always there to comfort me and help calm me down when I was nervous. She even came in on her day off to bring me flowers and a sweet card on the day of my last infusion. That meant so much to me. I am so thankful for nurse Beth and all of the amazing nurses I've had at kettering during my cancer journey. You all are truly amazing.
