Surgeons at Fort Hamilton Hospital can perform minimally invasive surgery and view anatomical structures with the same scope and visual clarity as if they were performing open surgery thanks to one of the most highly advanced imaging systems in the world.
The Arthrex® SynergyUHD4™ surgical imaging system has four times the resolution of high definition camera systems and a significantly wider color range. The 4K ultra high definition system gives the surgeon improved depth perception and a 3D-like experience.
The purchase of the SynergyUHD4 surgical imaging system was made possible by a $250,000 gift from the Fort Hamilton Hospital Foundation. “We are grateful to the foundation for the acquisition of this ultra-high definition imaging system,” says Gregory Carpenter, MD, a general surgeon with Kettering Surgical Associates in Hamilton and Fairfield. “The superior visual quality of the camera and monitors represents a significant advancement for the care of our patients at Fort Hamilton.”
“Without a doubt the SynergyUHD4 will allow us to better serve surgery patients in Butler County,” says Ryan Grote, DO, a general surgeon who is also with Kettering Surgical Associates. “With the system’s improved visualization, we can perform surgery faster and even more safely.”
“Because of the generosity of so many wonderful donors, the Fort Hamilton Hospital Foundation is able to invest in technology like the SynergyUHD4,” says Foundation Director Sonja Kranbuhl. “Thanks to our donors the hospital has yet another surgical tool which is making such a positive difference in the lives of surgery patients.”
