Did you know that a worker earning minimum wage in Greater Dayton must work 74 hours per week to afford fair market rent for a two-bedroom house or apartment?
We believe it’s our calling as a healthcare provider to support those who need it most. United Way shares this goal, and each year we partner with them to continue improving the quality of life for those in our community.
Our goal is to raise $300,000 now through December 8 for United Way’s Strong Families initiative. This program helps families navigate and prevent financial crisis by ensuring families stay in their homes, become financially stable, and that their children succeed in school. Because everyone deserves a safe home.
Between 2022-2023, 232 families were able to stay in their homes with support from the Strong Families program. The top three needs are housing and shelter (34.2%), utilities (29%), and food (8.9%).
It doesn’t take much to make a life-changing difference.
