On the evening of Tuesday, October 24, more than 400 people took the field at Paycor Stadium. Not to play football, but to learn how to “Save the Dey” by providing lifesaving aid in the event of a cardiac emergency.
We joined the Cincinnati Bengals, American Heart Association, and Cintas to provide hands-only CPR training and AED education to increase the number of people in the community who can help when quick action is needed.
Our organization was involved in several capacities. We had more than 40 employees volunteer to help make the event a success.

We also had team members from Kettering Health Hamilton support the event: 25 clinicians who were a mix of RNs and EMS personnel, as well as Dr. Prasanth Lingam, an interventional cardiologist, who spoke about the importance of CPR training and how acting quickly impacts survival rate.

Our Community Outreach team attended, too. After the training session, participants could receive resources and education about heart health, take a heart risk assessment, and receive a blood pressure screening.
