Kettering Health’s stroke program has again been recognized with the American Heart Association’s Get With The Guidelines® – Stroke quality achievement award for its commitment to ensuring stroke patients receive the most appropriate treatment according to nationally recognized, research-based guidelines.

Adherence to these guidelines ensures all stroke patients receive efficient and coordinated care across each of the 16 service lines that make up stroke care at Kettering Health, leading to reduced disability for survivors, fewer readmissions, and shorter recovery times.

“Stroke care touches multiple teams across our system, ranging from emergency and rehab to social work and nutrition services,” said Megan Smith, neuroscience manager at Kettering Health. “This recognition is a testament to the way these service lines collaborate to work toward the best possible outcomes for our patients and their maintained focus on quality and safety these for every patient, every time.”
