Soin Medical Center is celebrating the completion of its Emergency Department (ED) with a ribbon-cutting ceremony for elected officials, community leaders, and Kettering Health Network and hospital leadership on Wednesday, June 24. That same day, Soin is hosting a community open house for all of the surrounding communities with a FREE summer picnic dinner featuring hamburgers, hot dogs, and tours of the newly expanded facility from 5:30 pm to 7:30 p.m.

The Soin ED expansion is part of a planned expansion that was to occur within the next several years. The hospital is expanding it a few years sooner than anticipated because of increased patient volume. Soin, Kettering Health Network’s newest hospital, opened in February 2012 and is  is located at 3535 Pentagon Boulevard in Beavercreek.

The 22,000 square foot, $8.2 million addition includes12  more exam rooms, nearly doubling the number from 14 to 26.
