Lori Allen, one of the world’s foremost experts on bridal couture and the star of TLC network’s reality show “Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta,” will be the featured speaker at the 18th annual Ribbon of Hope Luncheon on Tuesday, October 2 at 11:45 a.m. at Sinclair Community College’s Ponitz Center.
Lori opened bridals by lori just two weeks after graduating from Columbia College in South Carolina. The store has grown to become one of the premier bridal salons in North America. Brides from as far away as Russia and Australia have visited bridals by lori to find their perfect dresses.
In 2012, Lori made the courageous decision to share her personal battle with breast cancer in the TLC special “Say Yes to the Cure: Lori’s Fight.” Lori’s true-to-life depiction of her struggle to beat the disease is now used as a cancer education tool and continues to inspire women around the world.
The luncheon also features boutiques and health and wellness vendors. Doors open at 10:00 a.m. Luncheon registration begins at 11:00 a.m. Parking is free for luncheon guests. Registration is limited. For more information or to register, visit kmcfoundation.org.
Proceeds from this event support Kettering Medical Center Foundation’s Women’s Wellness Fund, which provides cancer services to medically underserved women. Last year, 335 patients were supported with mammograms, wigs, compression garments and other cancer care services.
