Sally Grady, director of Kettering Health Breast Centers, recently received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Greater Dayton Medical Imaging Professionals Recognition Event. The event focused on highlighting achievements in radiology in our region.

Sally was nominated for the award by Bill Robbins, director of radiology for Kettering Health.
Congratulations, Sally, and thank you for all that you do for Kettering Health! An excerpt from the award-winning nomination is below.
“Sally is an accomplished leader with over 25 years of leadership experience and 40 plus years of experience in radiology. Sally graduated from Kettering College in 1979. She was a model student who worked full time during her academic studies. Post-associate degree, Sally immediately went into the workforce at Kettering Medical Center (now Kettering Health Main Campus) as a general X-ray technologist, but it did not take long for administration to see her leadership skills. Soon after, she was promoted to imaging manager. Sally served in various other roles such as imaging director at Celebration Health and director of clinical innovation at Dream. Think. Imagine. before moving her family back to Ohio in 2013 to serve as director of the neuroscience service line at Wallace-Kettering Neuroscience Institute.
Sally poured herself into this service line to improve processes and overall experiences. She consistently used her innovative strategies to solve operational issues and improve patient experience. In 2018, Sally moved into her current role as director of Kettering Heath Breast Centers. She oversees six comprehensive breast centers and nine screening and diagnostic centers. Her oversight also includes breast ultrasound and 12 DEXA units. Since Sally has taken on this role, Kettering Health has moved all locations to state-of-the-art 3D units with the industry’s first patient-assisted compression device, giving the patient a sense of control during their mammogram. All units are also equipped with SensorySuite, which is a tool used to enhance the mammogram experience with sight, scent, and sound. Sally continues to focus on making the mammogram as easy and comfortable as possible to ensure women are getting their annual screening.
She has also overseen or been part of many events including Dayton Heart Walk, the Walk for Women’s Wellness, Pink on the Square, Norma J. Ross Memorial Foundation, and Ribbon of Hope. She is an active member of the ARRT and AHRA.”
