Noted orthopedic surgeon Kenneth Pohl, MD, will discuss options for knee replacement procedures on Thursday, April 9 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Middletown Senior Center. The Middletown Senior Center is located at 3907 Central Avenue in Middletown.
Dr. Pohl will talk about partial knee replacement; the XP primary knee replacement that salvages the cruciate ligament; and bilateral total knee replacements. The event is free and light refreshments will be served.
Dr. Pohl specializes in orthopedic surgery with special interest in knee and hip joint resurfacing and replacements. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Dayton and his medical degree from Marquette Medical School, subsequently training in orthopedics in San Francisco. Dr. Pohl is board certified in Orthopedic Surgery since 1973. He is an assistant professor of orthopedic surgery at Wright State University. Dr. Pohl is the inventor of the Marcaine Pain Pump and also designed a partial knee replacement system. He is a traveling lecturer and surgeon in the United States and Canada for the American Faculty of the Oxford Partial Knee.
