Kettering Health Network is celebrating the completion of its new hospital in Troy with a free community open house on Sunday, June 9 from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Troy Hospital is located at 600 W. Main Street in Troy.
In addition to tours of the hospital, the public will be treated to a cookout free of charge.
Kids of all ages can explore emergency vehicles including a fire truck, police cruisers, an ambulance and a MedFlight medical helicopter.
Th event also features a health fair that includes free health screenings and wellness information.
Entertainment includes a balloon artist, face painting, bounce houses and live music featuring Cory Breth.
About Troy Hospital
The 135,000-square-foot, three-story hospital will have a strong emphasis on whole person care utilizing the latest technology. In addition to 28 inpatient beds, services will include an emergency department, intensive care, lab and imaging, cardiac testing, surgery and a medical office building for physician practices. The hospital is expected to employ about 200 people, including physicians, nurses, technicians and support staff.
Troy Hospital’s first patient date is scheduled for June 18.
