Dr. Robert Huizenga from NBC’s The Biggest Loser is the featured speaker at Kettering Health Network’s Health and Wellness Symposium on Wednesday, May 20, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at James S. Trent Arena, 3301 Shroyer Road in Kettering.
Dr. Huizenga will discuss how positive lifestyle changes can impact diabetes, hypertension and obesity.
Dr. Huizenga, better known simply as Dr. H, is an Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine at UCLA. He is the author of multiple scientific papers on the aggressive non-surgical, drug-free approach to obesity he has championed over the last 16 seasons on The Biggest Loser. A former team physician for the LA Raiders, Dr. H’s first groundbreaking book was adapted for the film Any Given Sunday.
The Health and Wellness symposium also features tips on how to start an exercise routine and fostering healthy habits; cooking demos; vendors; and a healthy lunch.
General admission tickets are $15 per person. Continuing Education Unit (CEU) admission tickets are $35 per person. Continuing Medical Education (CME) admission tickets are $100 each.
