Congratulations to Nathan Foster, who was named our June Living the Mission Award winner! Nathan is a police officer II at Kettering Health Main Campus.
The Living the Mission Award is given to people who bring Kettering Health’s mission to life, demonstrating the sacred work of improving the quality of life for people in the communities we serve. They use their own time and resources to transform lives, whether that’s in one of our facilities or out in the community.

“We received an email from an emergency center staff member regarding Officer Foster and the way he helped support a mother and grandmother who had just lost their 13-year-old child and grandchild. Officer Foster was working in the emergency center when a trauma case came in. There was a lot of commotion and all those involved including the staff and family were in a very stressful and volatile situation. The mother had gone out of the emergency center to decompress and grieve the loss of her child in the pouring rain. Officer Foster saw her out there and went to speak with her at great length to help calm her down. He also had brought the family water and tissues. Officer Foster was in the emergency center for over two hours assisting this family. This is the perfect definition of serving those around us and being there for others in their time of need.”
