Compassion is at the heart of living our mission, and Jessica Root, an LPN with the Kettering Health Medical Group (KHMG), exemplifies it in every way.

When a patient came into the office facing unimaginable challenges, having recently lost her husband and caring for three children, Jessica noticed the patient was putting her own needs last. Without hesitation, Jessica quietly went out and purchased clothes for the patient using her own money, offering support purely out of kindness and concern. She asked for nothing in return, simply wanting to help someone in a difficult moment.

This selfless act had a profound impact, bringing comfort and relief to a patient navigating grief and immense responsibility. Jessica’s generosity reflects our Kettering Health values of Wholeness, Belonging, and Leadership. She supports the well-being of others, creates meaningful human connection, and leads through compassionate action.
