We make a difference in our communities because of our outstanding people. And in March, we recognized several team members as Employee of the Month for putting our mission into action each day.
Employee of the Month recognizes the people you love to work with. The winners exhibit Kettering Health’s Standards of Behavior, live out our values, and demonstrate the healing presence practices outlined in Called to Care.
Thank you for impacting the lives of those in our community by fulfilling our mission. Our work wouldn’t be possible without you!

Starting a new role can feel overwhelming, but having the right mentor can make all the difference. That’s exactly the impact Lynette has had at Kettering College.
As a new employee joined the undergraduate program, Lynette was assigned as a mentor and immediately went above and beyond to create a welcoming, supportive experience. From Day 1, she made herself available to answer questions, offer guidance, and provide reassurance during the transition. Even beyond onboarding, Lynette continues to check in regularly, helping build confidence and ensuring her colleague feels connected and supported in their role.
Her thoughtful mentorship has strengthened not only one individual’s success, but also the overall culture of the program and college. Lynette’s calm, steady presence, professionalism, and genuine willingness to serve others reflect our values of Belonging, Leadership, and Excellence. She creates meaningful connection, leads through encouragement, and models the kind of dependable support that helps others thrive.
“From the onset, she warmly welcomed me and ensured I felt supported as I navigated my new role. Her thoughtful guidance and willingness to serve others sets a strong example for those around her.”
Congratulations, Lynette, and thank you for the lasting difference you make through your kindness and commitment to others.
As a physical therapist, Megan consistently goes above and beyond to provide personalized, compassionate care. During a recent session, while discussing a patient’s difficulty getting into their car, Megan didn’t just offer general advice, she grabbed her coat, walked outside with the patient, and observed the movement firsthand. After identifying the issue, she returned to the therapy session and provided targeted instruction and exercises designed specifically to improve that challenge. Throughout treatment, she has also performed exercises alongside her patient, offering encouragement, support, and reassurance every step of the way.
Megan’s thoughtful approach reflects the very best of patient-centered care. By listening closely, adapting her recommendations, and meeting patients where they are, she helps create better outcomes and a more meaningful healing experience. Her actions beautifully reflect our values of Excellence and Wholeness through compassionate care, clinical expertise, and a willingness to go beyond expectations.
“Megan listens to her patients and tailors her recommendations to their specific situation and abilities.”
Congratulations, Megan!
When families face unimaginable loss, even the smallest acts of comfort can make a lasting difference. Thanks to Kelsey’s compassion and determination, grieving families on her unit now have access to support that was never available before.
As the unit’s Bereavement Coordinator, Kelsey took the initiative to connect with the nonprofit organization Gemma’s Hope and successfully apply for a grant to bring a Bereavement Cart to the hospital. Through her dedication, the unit became the first hospital in the state to receive the Gemma’s Hope Bereavement Cart. The cart provides educational resources, meaningful mementos, and emotional support items for grieving families, while also offering tools that support staff as they care for patients and loved ones during incredibly difficult moments.
Kelsey’s initiative reflects our values of Wholeness, Leadership, and Excellence, stepping forward to improve care, advocating for families in need, and bringing thoughtful resources that strengthen both healing and support.
Kelsey, thank you for your compassionate leadership and for creating a lasting source of comfort for families and caregivers alike. We are proud to recognize you as Employee of the Month.

Jack has gone above and beyond to create meaningful connections with patients and staff alike. He built trust with a young nonverbal patient, checking in regularly and offering help whenever needed. When the patient became upset, Jack didn’t hesitate to join nurses in a spontaneous dance party, moving to Michael Jackson’s music until the child laughed and fully engaged. He stayed to play alongside the patient, who, after hours of distress, finally ate and felt comforted.
