A new star ratings program gives patients a voice in reviewing their health care options.
Kettering Physician Network launched its new program this month. The star ratings show the quality and care patients receive from Kettering Physician Network providers, with verified patients posting reviews about their experience.
All star ratings are published as part of the provider’s profile on the Kettering Physician Network website, giving any current or potential patient the ability to see the rating and comments.
The star ratings program publishes the provider’s average score of their ratings and the comments made by patients. Viewers can also see how many ratings and comments have been made.
All patient satisfaction ratings are verified by leading independent satisfaction company National Research Corporation.
“The difference between star ratings and third-party sites is that our patients have to be verified that they are actually patients of our providers,” said Laurie Bankston, MD, medical director of Primary Care Quality at Kettering Physician Network. “Letting the public see what our patients in the practice say allows others to see the high level of care that they are going to get from our practice.”
