Kettering Health is accepting applications for this year’s Hand Day, an annual event that provides free hand surgery to uninsured Dayton-area residents. 

Eligible candidates are those who do not have medical insurance and are experiencing any of the following symptoms: 

·                     Numbness or tingling in the hands or fingers

·                     Fingers that get “stuck” or are difficult to move

·                     Painful lumps or bumps in the hand or wrist

Prior to the event, eligible candidates should schedule a free one-on-one consultation before September 5 to determine if surgery is right for them. Surgeries will then be scheduled for September 15. All procedures will take place at the Kettering Health Hand Center of Excellence located on the campus of Kettering Health Washington Township. Surgery and follow-up care will be provided at no cost.
