Kettering Health Network is changing the way it provides care to adults 55 years and over. The health system intends to turn a 22,000-square-foot building space in Centerville into a medical facility designed specifically to caring for baby boomers and those who are older.
The Years Ahead Health Center will be located at 6661 Clyo Road in Centerville. Offering a seamless, coordinated approach to healthcare, patients will receive comprehensive, whole-person care.
The health center will include services and programs designed for people 55 years and older, including primary care physicians specializing in internal medicine, outpatient lab and imaging services, health education and exercise classes, and a community room for socializing and events.
It is expected to create 30 new jobs, including advanced practicing providers, certified medical assistants, nurses, imaging and lab technicians, and support staff.
“As more of our baby boomers reach retirement age, we saw an opportunity to change how we provide healthcare to them in a way that meets their unique and specific needs,” says Fred Manchur, CEO of Kettering Health Network. “As people age, they interact with the health system differently than they did when they were younger. The Years Ahead Health Center is designed to help older adults smoothly navigate that change with a focus on health and wellness—all under one roof.”
The health center is scheduled to open this winter.
