Kettering Health Network has purchased the 2600 Far Hills building in Oakwood.
Located in the heart of Oakwood, the 62,000 square-foot building was built in 1953 and has housed a number of tenants over the years including internal medicine and cardiology practices as well as current specialty practices.
Kettering Health Network plans to locate physician practices and outpatient services in the building. The timetable and costs have not yet been determined.
“We are thrilled to continue the building’s legacy of providing health care to our neighbors in Oakwood,” says Fred Manchur, Kettering Health Network CEO. “Everything we do as a faith-based health system centers on how to best care for the patient. Part of that care includes connecting people to better and faster access to quality health care. We look forward to working with the current tenants and the city as we develop plans for the building.”
“This is a great opportunity to have the building in the hands of local owners,” says Oakwood Mayor William Duncan. “We are excited that Kettering Health Network wants to invest in the City of Oakwood.”
