Kettering Health Network invites the public to celebrate Independence Day with music, food and fireworks. The Boom-n-Blast Independence Day celebration is being held on Sunday, June 25 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Preble County Medical Center, located at 450 Washington-Jackson Road in Eaton.
The Preble County Medical Center is accredited through Grandview Medical Center, a part of Kettering Health Network.
The old-fashioned patriotic celebration features free popcorn and ice cream. Buckeye Jake’s and Chuck Wagon will offer food for purchase. Kids of all ages can enjoy a free carnival with inflatables, face painting and games. Local police, fire and EMS vehicles and a MedFlight helicopter will be on display. Free health screenings and giveaways are available and there will be drawings for prizes. K-99.1FM will provide music and broadcast live.
At 7:00 p.m. the sister duo Adelee & Gentry will take the stage. They have been singing and performing in and around their hometown of West Alexandria with a unique blend of folk and pop music for the past five years.
The event will be capped off with a spectacular fireworks display at 7 Mile Park starting at dark. Spectators are encouraged to bring their own chairs.
