Kettering Health has been selected as the Cincinnati Bengals’ partner of choice and the only participating healthcare system for the NFL Dedicated Hospital Network Program in southwest Ohio.
The NFL Dedicated Hospital Network Program, which is administered by Cigna, is a health benefit that supports and encourages eligible retired players to prioritize their wellness following their NFL careers. Through this partnership, eligible retired players may access high-quality preventive, orthopedic, and primary care services at Kettering Health—and a number of players have already sought care from the health system through this program.
“Kettering Health is passionate about providing high-quality, compassionate care to athletes and fans, helping them be their best,” said Michael Mewhirter, interim CEO of Kettering Health. “We’re proud to serve former NFL players, including Bengals alumni, who’ve given so much to their fans and community.”
Since announcing an exclusive partnership with the Bengals this past May, Kettering Health has collaborated with the team to provide high-quality healthcare services at Paycor Stadium and serve our community through a variety of health and wellness outreach programs. These include
- Providing care at five first aid clinics throughout Paycor Stadium
- Promoting the importance of cancer screenings as part of the NFL’s Crucial Catch initiative
- Partnering on the Bengals’ Flag In-school program to provide NFL flag football kits to physical education classes in Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana
