Kettering, Grandview and Southview medical centers have received the Women’s Choice Award® as three of America’s Best Hospitals for Cancer Care.
Kettering, Grandview and Southview are among an elite group of 331 hospitals that have earned the 2015 Women’s Choice Award by meeting the highest cancer care accreditation standards of the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer, as well as for their excellence in clinical performance with regard to patient safety measures, and for their high recommendation rate, a measure that is very important to women in choosing a hospital. Awards are determined by evidence-based research and identify the brands, products and services most recommended and trusted by women.
“We are very humbled and honored to receive this award,” says Elizabeth Koelker, director of the oncology service line for Kettering Health Network. “Kettering, Grandview and Southview hospitals, as well as the entire Kettering Health Network, are committed to providing advanced cancer care with a talented staff dedicated to helping cancer patients through their journey.”
“Women have many choices when it comes to cancer care, but now they can make informed choices based on rigorous evidence based criteria. As a cancer survivor who faced a challenging journey to recovery, I wish I had the Women’s Choice Award as a resource to spare me unnecessary fret and error,” says Delia Passi, Founder and CEO of the Women’s Choice Award. “When faced with cancer you owe it to yourself and your family to get the best treatment,” adds Passi.
