Congratulations to Living the Mission Award winner Kelly Lewis! Kelly is a resource RN at Kettering Health Main Campus.

The Living the Mission Award is given to people who bring Kettering Health’s mission to life, demonstrating the sacred work of improving the quality of life for people in the communities we serve. They use their own time and resources to transform lives, whether that’s in one of our facilities or out in the community.

“Kelly is a staff nurse on 3 North. She is a kind and compassionate caregiver to all her patients. She has purchased medications for patients out of her own funds.   She always goes out of her way to help and care for her patients.  Although she provides good care to her patients, her greatest gift has been to her co-workers. She provides snacks and gifts, and she even organized a Chili Cook-off to raise her team’s morale. Today is Kelly’s one-year anniversary at KH Main Campus. She is so proud to be a nurse at Kettering Health, she brought in cookies and snacks for everyone. Nursing is hard and often thankless, and Kelly goes above and beyond to care for her team. I feel she’s exactly the person that lives our mission. She’s caring for the caregivers and it impacts the staff on 3 North. They are blessed to have a kind and compassionate co-worker. She takes every opportunity to celebrate the team that embraced her and gave her a home at KH Main Campus. She truly has a giving heart and is dedicated to the patients and her co-workers. We are blessed to have Kelly as a member of 3 North.”
