Employees are encouraged to join a new running/walking group organized by Harvey Hahn, MD, as part of the Kettering Physician Network well-being initiative.
A 2021 study found that 22% of healthcare workers experienced moderate depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder during the COVID-19 pandemic. Dr. Hahn has formed a running/walking group to help manage the stress that can accompany a career in the healthcare industry. Exercise is a viable solution known to improve your mood, help you relax, and lower symptoms of mild depression and anxiety by releasing endorphins. It also has numerous positive physical effects on our body.
Join to decompress and connect with fellow co-workers while boosting your physical and mental well-being. The group meets in front of the doctor’s lounge at Kettering Health Main Campus on Thursdays at 5:30 p.m. For more information, contact Dr. Hahn at (937) 903-2428 or Harvey.Hahn@ketteringhealth.org.
Not a fan of running? Other physician interest groups are forming every day. If you’d like to learn more about creating or joining one, contact Danielle Brower at Danielle.Brower@ketteringhealth.org.
