Congratulations to Living the Mission Award winner Joey Brumfield! Joey is the clinical nursing manager for the emergency center at Kettering Health Middletown.
The Living the Mission Award is given to people who bring Kettering Health’s mission to life, demonstrating the sacred work of improving the quality of life for people in the communities we serve. They use their own time and resources to transform lives, whether that’s in one of our facilities or out in the community.
Read Joey’s nomination story below.
“Joey responded emergently to a head laceration suffered in a basketball-related injury while attending a church function in the community. He coordinated responsibilities with other volunteers and personally acted to close a head laceration with glue to stop bleeding and care for this individual.
Joey is revered among his peers as a medical professional who is always willing to help others with emergent medical needs in the community. This is only one of many stories where Joey has represented his profession as an RN, a Kettering Health employee, and a servant of others in the community in a way that points to Christ’s love.”
