Grandview Medical Center, in collaboration with the Grandview Foundation and Mary and Harold Rieck, are sending a 53-foot semi-trailer with supplies for Hurricane Irma disaster relief and is inviting the community to help fill the trailer.
A Community Donation Drive is being held on Saturday, September 23 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Southview Medical Center. Southview is located at 1997 Miamisburg-Centerville Road in Washington Township, conveniently off I-675.
Some of the disaster relief supplies needed include:
- Bottled water
- Baby food
- Baby formula
- Baby wipes
- Bandages
- Combs
- Deodorant
- Diapers – infant and adult (all sizes)
- Feminine hygiene products
- Gauze
- Hand sanitizer
- Medical supplies
- Mosquito protection
- Pet supplies and food
- Shampoo
- Soap
- Sponges
- Toilet paper
- Toothbrushes
- Toothpaste
- Underwear – children and adults (all sizes)
In order to make the greatest impact and help with packing in the truck, we suggest donors purchase items in bulk from wholesale stores like Costco and Sam’s Club.
Please do not include:
- Clothing
- Furniture
- Canned goods
Kettering Health Network is coordinating distribution with Adventist Community Services in Florida to ensure that relief supplies get to where they are needed.
