The public is invited to attend an open house at Grandview Medical Center’s new $40 million, five-story, 70,000-square-foot addition on Sunday, June 2 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Grandview is located at 405 West Grand Avenue in Dayton.
The new addition features a new entrance in a circular driveway covered by canopies for convenient patient drop-off. The new entrance features a two-story lobby that includes an atrium with comfortable waiting areas. The new addition houses a restaurant-style kitchen that provides in-patient room service so patients can order their meals when they want them. Visitors and employees can enjoy a meal in the new addition’s Grand Central Café and dining room.
The catalyst for the expansion project was the new ambulatory surgery and recovery areas that consolidated and improved surgical services, and inpatient and outpatient flow. All pre- and Post-operative care is next to the hospital’s operating suites.
The top two floors are shelled for future patient private rooms.
In addition to tours, the open house features a health fair that includes free health screenings, and health and weight loss information. Visitors can participate in a raffle and receive a special gift. Healthy snacks will be served and balloon artists and face painters will provide entertainment for the kids. Dayton Dragons mascot Gem is the featured guest.
