Heart and Vascular Care
Want to learn more about this at Kettering Health?
The Dayton community will have even more access to quality heart and vascular care with the expansion of Grandview Medical Center’s cardiac catheterization (Cath) and electrophysiology (EP) labs.
Grandview now has three total Cath labs and, with the addition of the new EP lab, will be able to address the cardiac needs of Dayton.
“The creation of an additional cardiac Cath lab and EP lab at Grandview is a prime example of Kettering Health Network’s commitment to the community that it serves,” says Dr. Robert Bulow, medical director of invasive cardiology at Grandview.
“While some health systems are retreating from the community, Kettering is expanding services. I am proud to be a part of this organization, and energized to provide additional cardiology care to the patients in the community.”
Cath labs feature diagnostic equipment that aids in the visualization of the arteries and the chambers of the heart. With this technology, cardiologists can find blockages or damage to the heart.
EP labs assist in the diagnosis and treatment of heart arrhythmia, allowing for a shorter procedure time, less radiation exposure, and a greater chance that patients with highly complex arrhythmias can be treated.
Kettering Health celebrated with a ribbon cutting of the new labs on Tuesday, September 4 and will officially begin using them September 17.
Grandview is committed to offering outstanding care to the Dayton community with over 20 specialties and using advanced technologies. This expansion is a direct result of that dedication to quality care.
