Preventive and occupational medicine physician Chibuike Obioha, MD, has been named the new Medical Director of the Center for Wound Healing at Fort Hamilton Hospital. The center is located at 1010 Cereal Avenue in Hamilton.
Dr. Obioha earned his medical degree from the University of Port Harcourt College of Health Sciences in Nigeria and his Master of Public Health degree from the University of Iowa College of Public Health. He completed his residency in general surgery from Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.
Fort Hamilton Hospital’s Center for Wound Healing specializes in the treatment of chronic or difficult-to-heal wounds, including hyperbaric oxygen therapy, negative pressure therapies and skin substitutes.
